This global manufacturing group has a history dating back almost 100 years. It remains a family owned business with a vast global coverage; physically based in 60 countries with more than 6000 employees. They have a substantial catalogue of products, supplying to a wide variety of industries, across automotive, mining and exploration, metalworking, agriculture and forestry, aerospace, power generation, food, glass production…the list is endless. What this means for you, is that the business is incredibly stable. Even during times of uncertainty, i.e. the COVID pandemic, they were secure as when one industry struggles, other tend to flourish.
With T/O north of £100 Million, they distribute all across the UK and beyond. Manufacturing their products on site, packaging, warehousing and distributing to clients. They operate a just-in-time model of production, and with consistently strong order books, they are busy all year round, operating close to 24 hours a day.
As it stands, they are succession planning within their finance team. The FD, who has been with the business for a long time (over 25 years), will likely be retiring in the coming years. As such, the FC, who has also been with the business for a long while, will take a step up. They would like to find a Management Accountant, who is keen to progress. Someone who can move into a Financial Controller position when the position becomes vacant.
The role:
The role of Management Accountant will offer you the opportunity as part of the Finance team to provide insightful (financial and non-financial) information and engage others in driving value in the business. The role will report in to the Financial Controller, and will be primarily focused on all aspects of the finance department including weekly sales and month end reporting. As well as, margin reporting and analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, budgeting and forecasting, stock analysis and reporting, HMRC returns (including VAT) and project-based work to support certain business strategies and initiatives.
This exciting role will enable you to develop relationships across the business across all levels and work with a high calibre and driven management team.
The candidate:
· Engaging style of communication with the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels within the group.
· Approachable with the ability to communicate financial information to both a financial and non-financial audiences.
· Be qualified or part-qualified CIMA/ACCA (with an intention to complete if part-qualified) with experience in similar role.
· Manufacturing experience highly desirable, but associated industry experience will also be considered – supply chain and logistics, construction etc.
· Excellent IT skills, proficient in excel (look-ups, and data tables)
· SAP experience would be advantageous; though any large ERP system experience will be considered.
· High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
· Self-motivated, able to prioritise and meet all deadlines
What will you receive:
· A salary of up to £47,000
· Car allowance – C. £7,000 per annum

· Working hours: 9-5, Monday to Friday
· Hybrid Working: No formal policy but people do work 1-2 days per week from home.
