This Management Accountant Job will be working for a 200 million TO business with multiple sites in the UK. They are incredibly stable financially and one of the longest standing successful businesses in the field they operate. They employ over 100 staff in the UK, with their head office based near Chorley. This business is currently on an acquisition trail, with forecasted growth of circa 20% by the end of 2023 by way of acquisition. Due to their continued success, and additional planned growth, they are looking to recruit within their finance team this additional role which will act as a number 2 to the Finance Manager.
This Management Accountant job will act as a number 2 to the Finance Manager. The Finance Manager currently has full oversight of the monthly accounts and produces 3 P&L’s, along with year end and statutory reporting. This role will support in all areas of work but as this is a new role the initial look shape of the role will be guided by the successful candidate with the plan for this person to eventually take ownership of the management accounts presenting to the Finance Manager for approval before being presented to the FD.
Typical duties will include assisting in the management accounts production and reporting, revenue reporting and review including variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, assisting in filling HMRC returns and year end audit. The business is growing, and this role will evolve with the business into a more commercial finance role having full ownership of the revenue and reporting, providing financial analysis to improve the bottom line.
The Finance Manager and Finance Director are both supportive superiors, and won’t be shy in passing down work of any area the successful candidate wants exposure in. If you find yourself with capacity in your role, and want to take on more, the work is there to be taken for you to progress.
In return full study support will be provided financially, with a salary of circa £35,000 with the maximum budget £38,000. You will receive a rising holiday allowance, enhanced pension, healthcare benefits and work 37 hours across 5 days. The team is stable and friendly with a good number of them having been there for 10 years or more, which is a testament to the companies culture.
