This business sits within a larger UK owned Manufacturing Group based in the UK and specialise in the manufacture and conversion of fabrics. They currently turnover approx 30 million and have just had their best FY in the last 10 years for turnover and profit. Next year they have a solid forecast of growth with plans for this growth to continue on a steep trajectory in the next 5 years due to organic growth but also new product development.
This Accounts Assistant job will work in a team of 4 and be responsible for the Accounts Receivable and Purchase Ledger. On the purchase ledger your role will involve processing approximately 500 purchase invoices monthly on integrated systems, through to setting up payments runs and resolving any queries. On the Accounts Receivable, the invoices are raised by their own departments, but you will be responsible for that invoice from thereon in. That will include setting up new customers accounts and credit limits, allocating cash, recording receipts, resolving invoice queries to ensure prompt payment and chasing outstanding debt.
The person leaving this job has been with the business for nearly 14 years, so processes are very much in place and you will be stepping into an established role with manageable ledgers. The hours are negotiable, either full time over 5 days or reduced hours but over 5 days. (I.e. 9am – 3pm)
To be considered for this job, you must have some previous experience with Accounts Receivable and Credit Control either within your role duties or stand alone. You must be a confident communicator, with a pleasant demeaner with the ability to build relationships internally and externally. The organisation does support AAT study for the right candidate, however this is not an essential requirement for the role.
The business is growing which in turn creates opportunity for someone who may want future development, however with an active studier already in place, this job would also suit someone who is looking for a local job, with a stable company, in a nice team, with reasonable hours.
The organisation has countless benefits that continue to rise and include a hybrid working policy, an early Friday finish, enhanced and generous holidays, enhanced pension and more.
