This Manufacturing organisation based in Wigan turnover over 40 million, which has grown phenomenally year on year for the last 3 years along with headcount and continue to remain at the forefront of design and development within their field. The have been established for over 60 years, and throughout that time have had a number of ‘1st to market’ products with new developments continuously adding value to their customer base. They now offer their own financing to customers, which is a distinct USP and demonstrates their stability in the market and commitment to further growth.
This Financial Controller job will report directly into the Managing Director and operate as Number 1 in Finance. It will be a hands on role initially, with the view for the successful person to review to the team structure and increase headcount to reflect the recent growth of the business and additional workload. With the support and leadership of a team of 3, you will produce and present the monthly management accounts, take full control of the bill of materials and stock valuation / control, manage all submissions to HMRC including PAYE VAT and pensions, and manage the year end and statutory reporting in conjunction with the external accountants.
To be considered for this job you must:
· Be qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA
· Have a strong knowledge and demonstratable experience of finance in manufacturing
· Have a thirst for process improvements and efficiencies to save costs and increase profit.
This role comes with a salary of up to £60,000 with a performance related bonus of circa £10,000. Benefits are negotiable including holidays, pension, healthcare, life assurance.
