As family-owned business with turnover north of £50m, they specialise in FMCG manufacturing, particularly household goods. They have a very strong reputation with customers which has been forged over an 80 year history, supplying retailers across the UK, continental Europe and USA. They produce the majority of their product lines here in the UK and have a specialist product design and marketing team which consistently strives for innovation across their offering, keeping them ahead of the competition.
They are looking for an experienced Finance Manager / Finance Controller to act as the number 2 to the FD. It is essential that you have managerial experience as you'll be tasked with the day-to-day management of a 4 person team. Therefore, it's culturally important to find the right person who can assimilate well into the existing finance team.
Experience with SAP, knowledge of FMCG product lines and CIMA qualified are all strongly preferred. However experience with other large ERP systems will be considered, as well as other accreditation bodies (ACCA, ACA etc..). Demonstrable experience with team, process and controls improvement are key to the success of this role and someone with a good working knowledge of both statutory and management reporting is needed.
