Financial Controller

Role Summary

To manage the efforts of the financial team and ensure KPIs are met; conduct all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting and provide advice to the Directors on financial plans; manage the business’s financial risk.

Job duties

• Provide strategic financial leadership to support growth from to £50m+ over five years.
• Adapt and develop accounting systems to support an evolving group structure.
• Oversee month-end close, delivering accurate management accounts by the 5th working day.
• Produce and continuously enhance clear, insightful management packs for senior stakeholders.
• Prepare and present concise monthly executive and board-level financial updates.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, challenging variances and driving corrective action.
• Analyse financial impact of major investments (e.g. acquisitions, property, pricing decisions).
• Manage cash flow, forecasts and scenarios, ensuring liquidity and optimal use of surplus funds.
• Support year-end close and audit process, ensuring timely statutory filings and compliance.
• Lead and develop finance team performance, maintaining strong debtor/creditor control and KPIs.

Offer

• Salary up to £70,000
• 8am – 5pm Monday – Friday (some flexibility given)
