Role Summary

This role is essentially focused on improving the accuracy, structure, and scalability of the company’s finance function as the business continues to grow.

The person coming into the role would act as the technical finance expert for the business, making sure the numbers are correct, controls are robust, and finance processes are running efficiently. Initially, they would oversee the day-to-day finance operations including purchase ledger, sales ledger, reconciliations, and credit control, while also coaching and developing the existing Finance Manager to eventually take over those operational responsibilities.

Alongside this, the role would involve improving finance systems and processes, automating manual tasks, supporting audits, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations, and helping management make informed business decisions through forecasting and financial analysis.

Longer term, the position would become more commercially focused, supporting budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning/FP&A.

The company is ideally looking for someone with strong technical accounting knowledge, experience strengthening financial controls in a growing business, and the confidence to work closely with senior leadership in a fast-paced, project-led environment.

We’re looking for someone ideally at least part-qualified or QBE with strong technical grounding, ideally with experience in improving controls, processes, or systems within a growing or evolving finance environment.
